Service and Support Administration (SSA)
Service and Support Administration, fka, Case Management Services, focuses on supporting, empowering and coordinating services for individuals with MR/DD.
Service and Support Administrators are employed by the CCBMRDD and follow rules written
by
the Ohio Department of MR/DD to provide a variety of services. Service and Support Administrators make sure that individuals with MR/DD receive the services they want and need
to ensure a high quality of life.
It is the mission of our Service and Support Administration to:
- support individuals in determining and pursuing life goals and/or services
- work with families, guardians, and natural supports to access, provide and/or enlist
whatever assistance or support is needed in any life area, including protective intervention - maintain the individual as the focus while coordinating services across multiple systems.
SSA services include, but are not limited to:
- Providing information
- Referrals
- Case Coordination of Services
- Crisis intervention
- Residential placement coordination
- Service monitoring
- Reporting of abuse/neglect and serious incidents
- Resource developments
- Supportive/social services
Reporting Emergencies or MUIs (Major Unusual Incidents)
All potential MUIs, including but not limited to incidents of possible abuse, misappropriation, or neglect of any individual must be reported to the Columbiana County Board of MRDD by calling
the Service and Support Administration or MUI Coordinator during business hours or by calling
the 24-hour HELP Hotline outside of regular business hours.
